Access and Export a Call Recording


This article explains how to access and export call recordings in Calabrio. Follow the steps below to locate a recording, play it in your browser, or export it for download. 

You may encounter browser security prompts during this process. When prompted, select the options described in the steps to allow the application to run. 

Accessing a Call Recording

  1. Using your Chrome or Firefox browser, navigate to go.ncsu.edu/listen and log in using your Unity ID and password.
  2. To view the listing of call recordings, click the Recordings button in the Navigation bar.

    Note
    :  You must specify a date range, a specific date or time, or a Contact ID.  You cannot perform a search without specifying at least one of these options.  You must initially change your search criteria to find recordings.  Click the Filter button. Change Date Range to “In The Past Year.” Click Search

  3. Double-click the call recording you would like to listen to. It should play from your browser window at the bottom of the screen.

    Note: If you receive a Java Deployment Toolkit pop-up, click the Allow button.

  4. Change the Block Plugin drop-down to Allow and Remember, then click OK.

  5. Click Run on the ‘Do you want to run this application?’ window.

  6. Check the box next to "Do not show this againfor this app and website," then click the Allow button.

  7. Press the Play icon to play the recording at the bottom of the screen.

Exporting a Call Recording

  1. Using Mozilla Firefox, navigate to go.ncsu.edu/listen and log in with your Unity ID and password or the ID provided by the ComTech Engineer.

  2. Click the Recordings button in the Navigation bar.

    Note: If you see a ’Java needs permission to run’ pop-up, select ’Always run on this site.’ 

  3. Select the recording you wish to export, then click the Export Selected Contact button in the button bar.

  4. Select the audio format you want to export the file to, then click Export Selected Contact.

  5. Hover over the Blue alert bubble from the CUWO screen in the upper right corner. There should be a number inside it.

  6. You will see a listing of alerts.  Select Export of Contact xx, which is ready for download as a list.

  7. To save the file, click the “Click here…” link from the Alert Notification window OR  right-click the link in the window and select Save Link As...

  8. Save to your desired location, then click Close on the Alert Notification screen.

  9. Double-click the saved file to play it in your native media player.
