Customer Center: Billing


This article explains the processes for viewing and managing your Telecom bills. You can view your current and past bill cycles in Customer Center. Your bill contains charges for the following services:

Telecom bills are compiled on the 20th, or nearest business day, of each month for the previous month. Your bill will be available to view the next business day.

You should review and reconcile your monthly bill against your Wolf Report to ensure it is correct. Report any problems to ComTech by phone at 5-7099 or email comtechbilling@ncsu.edu. Credits will not be given for requests that are not within 30 days of the issue date shown on the bill. 

Note: Bills from October 2016 are available to view in Customer Center. For bills before October 2016, please email help@ncsu.edu for assistance. If you cannot access your bills or have questions about your bills, please email comtechbilling@ncsu.edu.

View by: Charge Account 

The Billing report is accessible from the Billing menu and allows you to view your bills over a period of time. 

View bill by: Charge Account is the default option when viewing your bill. It shows all services and equipment billed to your department(s) in a summary view. 

The Bill Date Range defaults to the most current bill. Use the down arrow to select a different date range.

The bill will display the total charges for all department GLAs combined if you manage telecom services for multiple departments. You can select GLAs from your managed department in the drop-down box to display a specific GLA’s charges.

The Charge Summary section displays the total charge by Charge Type. Drilling down into each Charge Type displays a breakdown of the total charge. 

Expand the 'A charge for rating calls (Calls)' section to view a breakdown of your Long-Distance call charges. 

The Charge Accounts section displays the total charge by Department GLA.

Clicking on an Invoice number in the Charge Accounts section will display the specific charge account billed for that invoice. Click the back arrow in your browser to return to the View bill by: All view.

Note: If you review your monthly charges by Invoice number, the Charge Account view is the only way to view the Invoice numbers.

You can print or download the bill in CSV or PDF formats from the Charge Account view, but it will always display a summary bill (unless you expand everything first). If you require a detailed view of the bill, the Owner view allows you to switch to a full detail view before downloading or printing. 

View by: Owner

Choosing to View bill by: Owner is an optional view that displays the bill specific to a Department

Note: The default Owner will display as the logged-in user's name. Click the down-pointing arrow in the field box to select the department name.

If you plan to download and/or print your bill, this view allows you to 'Switch to full detail view.'
