Accounts on the @alumni.ncsu.edu domain only have 2GB of email storage. Users must delete emails and clear trash to free up storage until it is below 2GB. Exceeding the 2GB storage will result in not being able to send emails, and exceeding 4GB of storage will prevent both sending and receiving. You will want to take steps to keep your storage below these limits to avoid future sending and receiving restrictions.

If you have recently taken steps to reduce your storage usage below 2GB, it can take a minimum of 72 hours for Gmail to update before your account can send and receive emails again.
