If you have been admitted into a program and would like to defer your admission to a later semester/term, you must submit a written request to the Director of Graduate Programs for the academic program. E-mail is acceptable. If you do not receive permission to defer, and you do not enter the program for the approved semester, you will have to submit a new application and pay a new fee to be reconsidered for admission into that program at a later date. The maximum time that a student may be granted a deferral is one year.
To learn more about the deferment process, contact the Graduate Services Coordinator for the academic program to which you applied.
