Endpoint Protection Standard Notification for macOS


macOS users of OIT Managed Desktop Services supported departments may receive a notification if certain criteria regarding check-in and inventory updates are met.  This knowledge article explains this notification. Please reference NCSU RUL 08.00.18 for additional information on the Endpoint protection standard requirements.

EPS Notification for macOS

The following notification is automatically triggered for any macOS computer managed by OIT-MDS if either of the following conditions are met:

 

 

If the computer is in scope (see above criteria), and this notification needs to be launched manually it can be done the following ways:

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Escalation

 

Any questions on process or content contained in this document should be escalated through the NC State Help Desk and a have an incident assigned to the OIT_DESKTOP_SUPPORT queue.
