If Duo detects that your device as tampered, it will not allow you to log in with or enroll that device.
Troubleshooting For Non-Tampered Devices
If you believe that your device isn't tampered, then you try following the steps below.
- Factory reset your device.
- Make sure that your device's operating system is up to date.
- Make sure that the Duo Mobile app is up to date.
- Toggle app restrictions in the Google Play Store (Android only).
- Open the main Settings app on your phone.
- Go to Apps > All apps > Google Play Store.
- Select Storage & cache.
- Select Clear storage and Clear cache.
- Restart your device.
Alternatives for Tampered Devices
If your device is still considered tampered, then you will need to use an alternative method to log in with Duo.
