Moodle is one of the course tools available through WolfWare, so to activate a Moodle space for a course, instructors must first request the WolfWare space, and then activate Moodle (or any other tools) within that space.
WolfWare spaces are integrated with the student rosters of particular semesters, so new WolfWare spaces (and tools such as Moodle) must be created and activated each semester.
For a video walkthrough of this process, see the "Creating a Moodle Space for Courses or Projects" video.
To create a Moodle course, these steps must be completed:
After these steps are completed, a Moodle course will be created with the content copied using the Copier.
To request a WolfWare space, follow the instructions provided in our "Requesting a WolfWare Space" DELTA Knowledge Article.
To activate the Moodle course for a WolfWare space, follow the instructions provided in our "Activating WolfWare Tools" DELTA Knowledge Article.
A Moodle Shortname is provided for students and instructors to identify the course with a unique identifier. For more details, see the "Changing the Name of a Moodle Course" article.
Set the start and end dates for when students should have access to the Moodle class. Change these dates using the instructions in the "Making a Moodle Course Available to Students" article.
When activating a Moodle space, run the Course Copier tool in the newly-requested WolfWare space to copy content from another Moodle course. To use the course copier, see the "Copying Content From One Moodle Space to Another" article.
It may take up to an hour for a new Moodle space to be created, and using the Course Copier may increase the time required, depending on the size of the copied class and demand on the copier.
