Using a Personal Meeting ID (PMI) or Personal Link in Zoom

Every Zoom user has a Personal Meeting Room that is permanently reserved for their own use. It can serve as a virtual office where others can drop by easily without formal invitation or coordination.

This article provides guidance on using Zoom's Personal Meeting Room feature.

Using a Personal Meeting Room for Zoom Meetings

Users can access their Personal Meeting Room using their Personal Meeting ID (PMI), which is a 10-digit number that can be found on the NC State Zoom portal's "My Profile" page.

Once a participant has the link to a user's Personal Meeting Room, they can join it at any time the meeting is in use, unless the meeting is locked or the Waiting Room feature is used to admit participants individually. Custom Personal Meeting URL

To edit a Personal Link, follow the instructions in Zoom's "Customizing your personal meeting ID (PMI) and personal link" article, signing into the NC State Zoom web portal.
