Mobility Print can be used on non-managed personal devices, such as iOS, Windows, macOS, Android, and ChromeOS. It allows end-user clients (for example, iPhones, Chromebooks, Android phones, and laptops) to securely print to any WolfPrint printer. Linux operating system is not supported at this time.
These instructions will guide you through the setup and print process for the Mac operating system.
Before you start - Connect to the NC State WiFi Network!
Getting Started Video
To print with Mobility Print, your device must be connected to the campus WiFi network.
Installation and Configuration
macOS Installation Video
To install the WolfPrint Printers and use Mobility Print from your macOS device, you will need to download and run a custom file.
- Download the installer from go.ncsu.edu/mobility-print-client-mac
- A disk image (.dmg) will download that contains the installer file; do not rename the disk image. The name points the installer to the correct server for Mobility print.
- Open the downloaded disk image; it will contain the installer package: PaperCut Mobility print Client.pkg
- Double-click on the PaperCut Mobility Print Client.pkg installer and follow the default options in the install wizard.

5. When the installation is complete, verify the 4 FollowMe printers are available in the Printers & Scanners folder.

After you have added the Mobility Print printers to your device, follow these 3 easy steps to print!
Step 1. Send your print job to a WolfPrint virtual printer.
- Open the file you want to print.
- Choose File->Print from an application menu or Command-P key combination from any application.
- Select a WolfPrint FollowMe printer.

- Log in to the printer using your Unity ID and password when prompted.

Step 2. Find a WolfPrint physical printer.
To locate a physical WolfPrint printer, visit go.ncsu.edu/printers
- If you send a print job to the WolfPrint-BlackandWhite virtual queue, find a Black and White OR Color printer.
- If you send a print job to the WolfPrint-Color virtual queue, find a Color printer.
- If you send a print job to either of the WolfPrint-11x17 virtual queues, find a model C840dn printer.
Step 3. Confirm and release your print job.
Complete this step within 12 hours, or your print job will be automatically removed from the system.
- Swipe your WolfPack One Card/NCSU ID in the card reader attached to the printer.
- Or manually enter your Unity ID and password at the control panel.
- Or scan the QR code with your phone's camera for "touch-free" print release.
- Follow the on-screen prompts at the control panel to release your print job.
- By default, your All Campus account will automatically be charged for your print job.
