Adding Authorized Users and Account Owners to Get2Factor

Users must be manually added on Get2Factor (G2F) in order to use Authenticator codes for logging in on Generic Accounts.

Changing User Settings in Get2Factor

  1. Visit Get2Factor
  2. Select Account Owner Tools and then Manage Accounts
  3. Select the Generic account to be updated. If the account is not there, it may need to be added.
  4. Update the account’s information as needed:
    1. Account Owner - Can change access controls, update the secret key, group accounts  and deactivate the G2F Authenticator account.
    2. Additional Account Owners - Same rights as the primary Account Owner. Adding at least one additional owner is highly recommended.
    3. Authorized Users - Users granted permission to view Authenticator codes for this specific account.
    4. Account Group - Adds a pre-existing group of users to access the Authenticator code for this account

The easiest method to search for users is to add an equal sign ( = ) before the Unity ID to make ServiceNow search for that exact Unity ID.
