Users must be manually added on Get2Factor (G2F) in order to use Authenticator codes for logging in on Generic Accounts.
Changing User Settings in Get2Factor
- Visit Get2Factor
- Select Account Owner Tools and then Manage Accounts
- Select the Generic account to be updated. If the account is not there, it may need to be added.
- Update the account’s information as needed:
- Account Owner - Can change access controls, update the secret key, group accounts and deactivate the G2F Authenticator account.
- Additional Account Owners - Same rights as the primary Account Owner. Adding at least one additional owner is highly recommended.
- Authorized Users - Users granted permission to view Authenticator codes for this specific account.
- Account Group - Adds a pre-existing group of users to access the Authenticator code for this account
The easiest method to search for users is to add an equal sign ( = ) before the Unity ID to make ServiceNow search for that exact Unity ID.
