Cisco Jabber for Windows is a collaboration application that provides presence, instant messaging (IM), voice, voice messaging, and video calling capabilities on a PC or laptop with a Windows OS.

Note: You must have this service enabled to use it. Visit the Self-Service page to enable the service. 

Installation

1. Download the Cisco Jabber Installer - the link will automatically download the file https://download.comtech.ncsu.edu/jabber/public/PC/Jabber/CiscoJabberSetup-NCSU.msi file.
   
   
2. Double-click the downloaded file CiscoJabberSetup-NCSU.msi
   
   
3. Click Accept and Install.
   
   
4. The installation will begin and may take a couple of minutes to complete.
   
   Note: Click Yes if this pop-up displays.
   
   
5. When the installation is complete, check the Launch Cisco Jabber checkbox and click Finish.

Setup

1. After installing Cisco Jabber, launch the application and Accept the End User License Agreement.
   
   
2. On the Cisco Jabber Sign-In screen, enter your Unity ID followed by @ncsu.edu, then click Continue.
   
   
3. Enter your Unity ID and Unity ID Password, and click Sign In.
   
   
4. Cisco Jabber is now ready to use on your computer.
