Please note that OIT DOES NOT PROVIDE ANY EXTENDED ACCESS TO YOUR GOOGLE WORKSPACE OR UNITY ACCOUNT.
Students who are graduating soon will be given approximately six months after graduation to transfer and download their data. OIT will send communications notifying you of the specific date when your Google Workspace account is disabled.
You will retain access to your NC State Google account for 21 days after your separation date. After those 21 days, your account will be disabled and you will be unable to log into your NCSU Google account.
You can use Google Takeout to download an archive of any data from your NC State account that you wish to keep. For full instructions, see How to download your Google data. The Help Desk does not support importing any data downloaded from Google Takeout into a personal account.
Be aware that Google Takeout archives are not always directly compatible with being imported into a different Google account.
Google Photos was decommissioned for most NCSU users as of Summer 2023. If you still have access to Google Photos and need to transfer the data off of your @ncsu.edu account, see Transfer Google Photos out of your NC State Google account.
There is no officially supported way to transfer YouTube data. Google provides a workaround option where you can convert your channel to a Brand Account, and then transfer the data to another Brand Account. You must wait seven or more days between creating the Brand Account and transferring it over to the other account. This is an unsupported process; it may result in data loss, and the Help Desk cannot assist with it.
