What is the Device Limit for Office 365?


All active students and most active employees of NC State are provided a license to use Microsoft Office 365 at no cost to the individual. You can install Office on up to 5 PCs or Macs, 5 tablets, and 5 smartphones at any given time.

To sign out of devices that no longer need Office

  1. Visit Office My Account Portal
  2. Click on View apps & devices

  3. Click on the down arrow next to Devices
  4. Click on Sign out next to any device that no longer needs Office
