WolfTech Active Directory Authentication
Active Directory® directory service is the distributed directory service that is included with Microsoft® Windows Server™ operating system. The Wolftech Active Directory (WolfTech AD) service is NC State’s implementation of the service, allowing departments and units to manage and share computer resources and services with other departments on campus. This service provides for delegated administrative control for departmental administrators and is available to all campus departments. WolfTech AD membership provides access to the following services, allowing administrators to assign policies, deploy software, and apply critical updates to an organization:
- UnityId authentication
- Microsoft technologies (Active Directory, AzureAD, Intune, Microsoft 365) Infrastructure
- Windows OS Security settings defaults
- Distributed File Systems-Namespace (DFS-N)
- Windows desktop & server imaging via System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Windows software packaging and deployment
- Windows patching via System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM)
- Direct Access
- Bitlocker Administration
