IPA RENV is otherwise known as Identity, Policy, and Audit for NC State University's Regulatory Environment.   IPA servers provide authentication/authorization to servers within NCSU's Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP).  Approximately 800 VM's and x86 servers use this service including ERP's Redhat Linux and Oracle Exadata.  These servers fall into scope for more stringent access control as described by PCI Regulatory Standards.
