In order to implement a change recommended by Oracle support to resolve performance issues, we are planning an emergency bounce of the EXA20 server at 3:30 pm today. This bounce will be done in a rolling fashion one node at a time in order to minimize impact but there may be services that need to be cycled in order to reconnect to the databases.

MyPack Portal and other connected systems, including SIS, HR, and FIN (CSPRD, HCPRD, HCRPT, FOPRD and FORPT) are migrating to new hardware on Sunday, November 13 and will be unavailable beginning at 6:00 am. We anticipate all systems to be fully available before the end of the maintenance window at 1:00 pm.

As part of the recovery efforts from this week's disruption in service, the OIT DBA team will be bouncing the Production Oracle database server to clear any lingering database issues. The server bounce will be between 5:30 am - 7:00 am Sunday morning during the standard maintenance window. Any systems dependent on Oracle databases may be unavailable during this time.

Degradation - OIT Enterprise Database Administration
At 3:15 am this morning, one of the Oracle production database server nodes rebooted unexpectedly. Most servers will automatically failover to the other node but some may have had a connection issue around this time. The node cycled and was available again within 5 minutes.

On Thursday morning at 6:40 am there was an issue on the production database server causing databases to be unavailable. Databases were available again by 6:50 am. OIT DBA staff are currently investigating and looking for a root cause.
