Guide to labeling
- All labels should include both devices connected via the cable.
- Sequence will always be source→sink (Output→Input)
- Examples - (PC→DA2), (CP out 6→RX), (CP out 1 → MR)
- There is no need to label anything with “network switch”
- But label the devices at the network switch location.
- There is no need to label the power cables at the device location
- But they can be labeled on the power conditioner side.
- There is no need to label anything with HDMI or other cable types.
- It is redundant because we already know the type of cable it is.
Abbreviations
PC = computer
CP = control processor (DMPS or other type)
TP = touch panel
AVB = AV Bridge
RX = Scaler/Receiver
TX = TX transmitter
MR = Epiphan pearl mini media recorder.
DSP = Digital signal processor (BiAmp Tesiraforte)
DC - Doc cam
MIC - Microphone wireless receiver
DA - Distribution Amplifier
